The Institute of Sciences and Techniques of Physical and Sports Activities, in coordination with the Directorate of Social Activity and Solidarity, organized the third provincial edition of the sporting event for people of determination at the sports complex of Khemis Miliana University.
The event opened with a welcoming speech from a representative of the Directorate of Social Activity and Solidarity, followed by remarks from the Director of the Institute of Sciences and Techniques of Physical and Sports Activities. Both emphasized the importance of such initiatives in promoting social and sporting inclusion for this group.
The program featured a variety of competitions and sports activities, with participation from specialized institutions and centers, including:
- The Psycho-Pedagogical Center for Children with Intellectual Disabilities in Aïn Defla
- The Autism Disorder Children’s Association
- The School for Hearing-Impaired Children
Among the organized activities were:
- Hurdle jumping
- Number square (developing number recognition skills)
- Shot put and discus throw
- Javelin throw
- Motor games with rings
- Sprint races
- A football match
The event was well supervised by Professor Mustapha Boudabza, from the Sports, Health, and Performance Laboratory at Khemis Miliana University, alongside the Club for People of Determination and students of the institute. The presence of world champion Mohamed Khichane, specialist in Vovinam Viet Vo Dao, served as a strong source of motivation for the participants.
The day concluded with the distribution of awards to participants and organizers.
