Innovation and Digital Platforms
During the fourth stage of the field visit, the Minister visited the FabLab (fabrication laboratory) and oversaw the launch of the digital platform of the Interfaces Center, aimed at supporting innovation and assisting student entrepreneurs. He also reviewed student achievements under Decision 1275, amended and supplemented by 008: “Economic Enterprise – Start-up.”
Meeting with the University Community
The visit concluded with a meeting with the university community in the main lecture hall of the old campus, attended by the rector, the governor of Aïn Defla, Mr. Issa Aziz Bouras, and the Minister. The program began with:
- Recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an.
- Listening to the national anthem.
- A welcoming speech by the rector.
- An address by the governor.
- A speech by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Signing Partnership Agreements
The Minister, accompanied by the governor and the delegation, supervised the signing by the rector of several agreements between the university and economic institutions, aimed at strengthening cooperation between the university and its socio-economic environment. These agreements included:
- An agreement between Khemis Miliana University and Maghreb Tubes SPA.
- An agreement with the National Agency for Microcredit Management (ANGEM).
- An agreement with the Saidal pharmaceutical group.
These agreements fall within efforts to promote innovation and link the university with the economic environment, contributing to the support of emerging projects and encouraging entrepreneurship among students.
Honoring Outstanding Students
Finally, the Minister, together with the governor and the rector, honored students who participated in the national programming and artificial intelligence competition, in recognition of their scientific excellence and creativity in technology and innovation. He also honored students who won awards in international sports competitions, acknowledging their achievements.
