On the occasion of Science Day, and as a reflection of the spirit of scientific and sporting cooperation, the institute hosted a remarkable event in the form of a training session on modern refereeing for university youth.
This session was organized in coordination with success partners:
- The Regional Football League of Blida
- The Provincial Football League of Aïn Defla
- The National Union of Algerian Students
📝 Theoretical component: The session began with valuable theoretical presentations delivered by experts from the Aïn Defla and Blida leagues, focusing on:
- Updated laws: Explanation of the latest FIFA amendments and how to adapt to rapid changes in the game.
- Referee psychology: How to manage psychological pressure and interact with players and spectators with flexibility and firmness.
- Modern refereeing: The role of technology, as well as physical and mental preparation, in ensuring the referee’s success on the field.
🏃 Practical component: The training did not stop at theory. Students moved to the football field to put their knowledge into practice. Under close supervision, participants engaged in practical exercises including:
- Correct positioning on the field
- Quick decision-making in controversial situations
- Effective use of the whistle and body signals
The session attracted an exceptional turnout from both male and female students, reflecting the strong passion for this specialty.
Such initiatives not only contribute to the training of university referees, but also instill in students values of discipline, fairness, and quick thinking. They represent a fitting celebration of Science Day, which honors knowledge in all its forms.
Finally, we extend our sincere greetings and appreciation to all those who contributed to the success of this scientific and sporting event.
